2006 marked Kislak's 100th anniversary. Founded in 1906 by Julius Kislak, this milestone is something few companies achieve. Julius established Kislak the "old fashioned" way, by knocking on doors and introducing the Kislak name to one client at a time. Over 100 years later little has changed - Kislak still believes in the successful, guiding principals established by Julius.

Kislak's traditional, hands-on approach to building a business and the Kislak family's continuous integration of their values and principles into the company for over 100 years has resulted in an extraordinary number of repeat clients. The Kislak family continues to emphasize the principles of hard work, integrity and relationship-building in the company and these principles are shared by all employees.

In honor of Kislak's centennial anniversary and related business operations, the Kislak Family Fund announced a $2 million donation to Monmouth University's Real Estate Institute, which was renamed "The Kislak Real Estate Institute" during a ceremony at the university on June 1, 2006.

"In celebrating 100 years in the real estate business, we wanted to make a substantial, meaningful donation to our industry," commented chairman Jay Kislak.

"The gift, one of the largest ever to Monmouth University, demonstrates the Kislak's commitment to higher education," said Don Moliver, director of the university's decade-old Real Estate Institute, New Jersey's only higher education real estate school. "Specifically, it enables us to develop a real estate undergraduate academic program, the first of its kind in New Jersey, and one of only 60 or so programs in the entire nation."
